FOOD & DRINK

The school tuck shop is open throughout the day, serving snacks and drinks during breaks and after school, and a range of hot meals at lunch time. Children who prefer to bring a packed lunch to school are welcome to do so.

There are cooled water fountains on site.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

SUN

Children are advised to wear a hat when playing to avoid the effects of too much sun.

ACCIDENTS

If any child has an accident whilst at school the following steps will be taken:

• The severity of the injury will be assessed by staff. Basic first aid (e.g. for cuts and grazes) will be administered at school.
• Should further treatment be required the child will be taken at once to the accident and emergency department at Victoria hospital. Parents will be informed. Children who receive a head injury are always taken to hospital as a precaution.
• All accidents are recorded in writing at the school.

FIRE DRILL

A drill involving the evacuation of the entire school takes place once every term.
