THE SCHOOL LIBRARY

The Library is a very busy part of the school, being used by all year groups and staff. It is run by Jemma Copley and Shyama Wijegoonewardene, with help at lunchtimes from student volunteers. The library is open from 8am til 3pm every day.

From books to help you with your studies or homework to fiction books to read just for fun, there’s something in the library for everyone!

Book Donations

Students already have over 6500 books available to them, but the school is always on the look out for new ones to add to this number. We have had lots of very generous donations recently so thank you to the people who gave them. All donations are greatly appreciated and will be enjoyed by many children!

Book Reviews

Some books have been reviewed by students. You can read these reviews by clicking here. If you would like to do a book review poster then you can get a sheet from the library. Your review may also appear here on the website.

Most Popular

Because of the computerised library system, we can tell which books are most popular. The books that have been borrowed the most so far are Pokemon. The most popular books for girls are the Sleepover Club series and the Weather Fairies series

Did You Know?

Last year, the BBC did a reading promotion in the UK called ‘The BIG Read’. This involved members of the public voting for their favourite books so that a list of the top 100 could be compiled.

Our school library has 60 of the top 100 books! Not bad for a small school library in Seychelles?!
