SECONDARY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & SIXTH FORM COMPUTING

Students in Years 7-9 study an IT curriculum similar to the UK. Students in Years 10 & 11 study IGCSE IT. In the Sixth Form the A-Level Computing course is offered.

Students are taught in one of two dedicated IT rooms. Both rooms have full Internet access, a wide range of software, monochrome and colour laser printers and an assortment of other hardware.

Year 10 Image Manipulation and Web Design

Year 10 students used image manipulation software and wrote HTML code to produce some very cool quizzes.

Year 10 Document Production

Having become very adept at producing complex documents (involving headers/footers, sections, text, images, graphics, etc.) the Year 10 students documented all that they had learnt so that they had something to refer to when practicing for their practical exams.


Year 10 Spreadsheet Design

Using features such as conditional formatting (where cells are highlighted based on their contents) and lookups, Year 10 students produced gradebooks which automatically calculated average marks and grades, and which highlighted students who had poor/exceptional marks.


Year 11 Programming

Using LOGO Year 11 students learnt the fundamentals of computer programming...
